Toshiba SB-500
Oggi mi sono imbattuto in un Toshiba SB-500 che ho provveduto a portare a casa (e sono 2 dopo il Luxman L-230). Quest'integrato con il suo involucro in legno è davvero bello, inoltre dopo la solita pulita ai potenziometri ed ai contatti a cominciato a suonare davvero bene, è sicuramente migliore del Luxman L-230, ed ho l'impressione che potrebbe impensierire il mio amplificatore principale. Non si direbbe che quest'amplificatore introdotto nel 1973 abbia quasi trent'anni.
Una cosa che non ho ben capito è il fatto che sul retro ci sono le prese Main-In e Pre-out, e queste non sono collegate tra loro, l'amplificatore suona lo stesso. Ho provato a guardare all'interno e non ci sono degli ovvi collegamenti diretti (ci sono fascette di cavi ovunque, e non è facile seguire i percorsi). L'unica spiegazione è che queste prese si usino in modalità 4-CH (c'è uno switch sul retro, che l'ampli sia quadrofonico?), collegando infatti una coppia di cassa è spostando il selettore su 4-CH non si sente nulla. Non ho voluto fare prove mettendo dei cavetti in quanto vorrei prima capire come stanno le cose, purtroppo al momento non sono riuscito a trovare il manuale utente.

Ho fatto la prova collegando Pre-Out con Main-In e selezionando 4-CH ed effettivamente le casse (ne ho collegati solo due però) si sono sentite. Non mi è chiaro come funzioni questa parte, nessuno ha esperienza con questo tipo di amplificatori?

Ho trovato una indicazione, tra le caratteristiche c'è la seguente "Eingebaute LS-Matrix für Pseudo-Quadrofonie-Wiedergabe mit 4 LS" che tradotta da "Built LS-matrix for pseudo-quadraphony playback with 4 LS", quindi sembrerebbe che l'ampli sia dotato della possibilità di aggiungere ulteriori due canali (pseudo-quadrifonia) attraverso una operazione matriciale tra i due canali stereo.
Ma perchè il collegamento Main-In e Pre-Out è necessario solo nella modalità 4-Ch?

Nota: ho aggiunto anche la descrizione dell'SB-300 in quanto questo è il fratello piccolo dell'SB-500, la descrizione di quest'ultimo contiene solo gli upgrade rispetto al 300.

mai in e pre out:pre out si puo usare solo come pre cioe con cavo collegato in pre out con un'altro finale:main in usato come solo finale con un'altro preamplificatore
