I always read this thread but the situation demanded to comunicate though other channels. I still don't have the priviledges to send PMs hence the bottleneck in our comms. I understand that peoples are searching for alternatives to save money and I respect that fact since I'm often doing the same thing.... but... in my case there's a limit between price and performance (which I don't want to cross), limit that always keeps me focused to my real purpose: searching for performance @ affordable prices. You know that I could duplicate the XMOS design very well and place there cheap parts on that card and not OsCONs for the sake of money! Still, there are OsCONs on WaveIO card... and I wonder why? (ironic question) Smile

Back on topic and to be clear, on my table are few WaveIO cards and one of them are running on Win 7 with ASIO while the player is.. Foobar. I also have tendencies to use Kernel streaming or WASAPI.. but only for testing purposes!

AFAIK only Kingrex have very-highres USB support. I wonder if some programmers on this site can work on the drivers (for free, i.e. open source Smile

).
WHQL will have to be forfeited, which costs I think more than 2k euro, but I dont think it's important.

Anyway, I'm still looking to hear the waveIO compared to the i2s signal taken from my emu soundcard, with both feeding i2s to my new DAC.

Yeah, ofc, who doesnt? Smile

But dont forget that a lot of ppl even on these forums are willing to pay 300€+ for the Stello U3 just because it sounds better than cheaper transports.
What I thought we want to reach here is a comparable if not better SQ to it for about half the cost.

In addition to that I have some pairs of NDK osillators left and your card will be assembled with one... in case that you want it Smile
